Cross Plains burns { 17 images } Created 27 Dec 2005

A massive uncontrolled grass fire forced the evacuation of the town of Cross Plains, Texas on December 27, 2005. Upwards of 40 houses and several square miles of land were burned, and 2 deaths were reported.
