Undocumented Harvest
Undocumented workers harvest watermelons in a field outside of Edinburg on June 15, 2007. The workers are paid per ton of watermelons harvested in a process that involves two passes over the same land -- the first to cut the good watermelons from their vines and place them where they can be easily harvested, and the second to toss them into a truck to be carried to market.
