Ambergris Caye, Belize 8/31/2012.Oh hey, what are those, coffee beans? Not so fast. These would be the fruit of the aptly named Black Poisonwood tree, a tree so toxic it would ultimately kill the skin on my hand and leave me with an allergic reaction so nasty that my face swelled up, I broke out in hives, and I had to be pumped full of steroids by a very nice doctor in San Pedro.
